Former All American 400 Winners Hoping for Another Nashville Guitar
Eddie Hoffman, Jr. and Ross Kenseth Ready to Take on High Banks Again
When the green flag flies on the All American 400 at Fairgrounds Speedway in Nashville, Tennessee on November 2, the field will be loaded with talented drivers from all around the country and former winners of the event tabbed as the "Civil War on Wheels"  Two of those drivers are the defending race winner Ross Kenseth and two-time All American 400 winner Eddie Hoffman, Jr.  Those former winners, plus a slew of other talented racers from across North America, will look to bring home a famed guitar trophy handed to All American 400 victors.

Kenseth will be looking for a second Nashville guitar.  The Clemson University student has had a solid season so far with a total four wins a several strong runs all around the country and now hopes to visit Nashville's victory lane for a second straight season.

"It's always fun to go back to Nashville," said Kenseth. "We have run well there each time we go and we won it a year ago. I think we have been really consistent this year.   We have a lot of top 10's when we don't get swept up in a wreck or have mechanical problems.  Lately we have had some wins and top five so hopefully we can keep it rolling."

Kenseth is one of the 83 drivers in Southern Super Series presented by Sunoco that have earned points this season, but he has yet to visit victory lane in the tour's inaugural season.  The 20-year-old driver has won in just about every series he has raced in and the Southern Super Series could be next.

The All American 400 is co-sanctioned by the Southern Super Series and the Champion Racing Series (CRA).

"Winning is what you set out to do," said Kenseth.  "It's great to have the Southern Super Series and the and the CRA getting together for this event.  When you put two of the best organizations together it's going to create a big field.  We are expecting 40 cars out there.  Last year it was a real fast-paced race and everyone was driving as hard as they could the entire time.  It's key to have good tire management and be smart about it."

Hoffman, of Wheaton, Illinois, has two wins at Nashville and hopes to add a third come November 2.

"We love going to Nashville and we wouldn't miss that for anything," said Hoffman.  "We have some wins there, but that was back in the combo days.  It was a good streak for us for a while.  We are not sure why we were so good and we are looking to get back to that.  We'll be there on practice day throwing everything we can at it."

Hoffman has run the All American 11 times and has scored five top-10 finishes plus a pole qualifying run.

"It's Nashville," said Hoffman.  "All the guys are always geared up for it.  I think it's pretty much the best all around short track there ever was with the banking, size and the history.  It's hard to top."

Joining these drivers will be former winners Mike Garvery, TJ Reaid, along with Southern Super Series points championship contenders Bubba Pollard and Daniel Hemric.  Erik Jones will also be on hand fresh off his ARCA/CRA Super Series Winchester 400 win along with SSS winners Chase Elliott, Augie Grill, and Kyle Benjamin. They will be joined by John Hunter Nemechek, Austin Theriault, Stephen Nasse, and many others.

The All American 400 will decide the season-long championship for the Southern Super Series presented by Sunoco.  Pollard leads Hemric by 46 points into the Nashville event.

Teams will practice on Friday, November 1, with qualifying and the feature events taking place place on Saturday, November 2.
