The All American 400 Set for History With the Crowning of the First SSS Champion
Historic Race Will Also be a Historic Night for Inaugural Champion
History runs deep within the All American 400 at the Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway (TN).  Big names have tried and the best-of-the-best have stood tall in victory lane as the winner of the All American 400.  The winner’s list includes names like Darrell Waltrip, Rusty Wallace, Butch Miller, Gary Balough, Mike Garvey, Freddie Query and many others.

Two names that are looking to be added to that list are Daniel Hemric and Bubba Pollard. Even if neither driver can capture the win in the feature event, one will be crowned the Inaugural Southern Super Series Champion presented by Sunoco in Nashville, TN on Saturday, November 2nd.

"I can't think of a better place to wrap up the first season for the new series," said second-place point man Daniel Hemric.  "The series has had a good season and we have grown as a team along with it.  Bubba (Pollard) and I have been going back and forth for the points all year long."

Between the two of them, Hemric and Pollard have five wins and 10 poles this season.  They have also had 19 top five's out of a possible 24, which shows there has been no margin for error.

"I know it's going to go right down to the wire," said Pollard who is the point leader with two races left. "I hope we can have a car as strong as we did in April this year.  We of course want to win the race and let the points take care of themselves."

Hemric comes into the final races as a more of a mature driver then a year ago.  The newly crowned Blizzard & Gulf Coast Series champion made the transition to Super Late Models full time last fall.  In the final few weeks of 2012 Hemric led laps at both the All American 400 and Winchester 400. Now Hemric looks to be a serious contender in those same events.

"We have made lots of progress this season," said Hemric.  "With the history at Nashville it would be a great place to get a win or maybe even a championship.  The support of all the people around our team has been great and we want to end the year strong.  We got one championship already and we want to get some more."

For Pollard it's more about finishing the job he started.  Pollard was stalking leader Ross Kenseth when the final yellow flag came out for rain in last year's All American 400.  The event ended up finishing before the scheduled distance could be complete leaving Pollard to only wonder what might have been.

"We needed about one more lap a year ago," said Pollard.  "Who know how it could of gone?  We want to win these big races and we have gotten better in them this year.  A championship would be big and to get both would almost be a perfect night."

Both drivers will be staging their own war around a field of the best Super Late Models in the county.  Defending champion Ross Kenseth, 2013 World Crown 300 winner Preston Peltier, 2013 Rattler 250 winner Kyle Benjamin, Former All American 400 winners Mike Garvey, TJ Reaid and Eddie Hoffman just to name a few.

The All American 400 will decided the season long title as drivers from all over will flock to Nashville for the November 2nd race at the Fairgrounds Speedway (TN).  Teams will practice on Friday, November 1st, but qualifying and the feature events will take place on Saturday.
