Chad Finley Set For Trip To Nashville To Take On The All-American 400
Big Race Tour Continues for Michigan Driver
Team PR - The post-season continues for Chad Finley and the Chad Finley Racing Team as the next event for the 21-year-old is the ARCA/CRA Super Series – Southern Super Series combination race; the All-American 400 on Friday-Saturday, November 1-2nd at the famed 0.596 mile high-banked paved oval of Fairgrounds Speedway Nashville in Nashville, Tennessee. For Finley, it’s another trip south and he’s looking forward to competing in one of the most prestigious Super Late Model races in the country.

“We’re really looking forward to getting down to Nashville. We need to have a good strong run and gain some momentum for the Snowball Derby,” The DeWitt, Michigan driver stated as he and his CFR Team continue final preparations before embarking on the nine-hour trip south.

“There are a few similarities between Pensacola and Nashville so we’re bringing a whole new set up that hopefully will pay off and give us a baseline going to the Derby. Nashville is a race track with a tremendous amount of prestige and history and would mean a lot to go down there and bring back the hardware to the north.” He added.

This won’t be Finley’s first time racing with the Southern Super Series as he took on most of the regulars in the series in the unsanctioned 37th annual Rattler 250 at South Alabama Speedway (AL) back on March 16-17th. He broke the Track Record in Qualifying for the race and led the first 100 laps and stayed within the top five until 55 laps to go when electrical problems forced him from the event.

He also competed in the prestigious 30th annual World Crown 300 at Gresham Motorsports Park (GA) back on August 10th as he qualified an impressive fourth fastest and was running in the top five for the first 1/3 of the race before a broken shock plagued his efforts and after dealing with a severely ill handling racecar, he parked the machine for the night.

So far in 2013 in 13 starts, Finley has recorded two Wins, both in the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour Presented by Chevrolet Performance with those trips to victory lane coming at Columbus Motor Speedway (OH) on May 25th and at Springport Motor Speedway (MI) on September 14th. He also has collected five top five finishes and seven top 10s.

In addition to his race statistics, he also has two Track Records and three overall Fast Qualifier Awards during the year. His record breaking laps came at South Alabama Speedway (AL) on March 16th in his Super Late Model and at Columbus in the JEGS/CRA race which resulted in a clean sweep of that weekend. He also has a FQ Award in ARCA/CRA Super Series competition at Lucas Oil Raceway (IN) back on July 26th.

“2013 has been a decent year. To get two wins means a lot to all of us.” The 21-year-old continued. “We’ve had a lot of solid runs within the top five and top ten as well. We’re still building this race team so we are making progress that’s for sure.  Everyone is back for 2014 with us so that will help us keep building CFR stronger and stronger and hopefully with some good showings in this race and the Derby, we’ll continue to keep moving forward.” He ended

After Nashville, the team will then prepare for the biggest short track event in the country; the 46th annual Snowball Derby at Five Flags Speedway in Pensacola, Florida on December 3-8th. It will be Finley’s first ever attempt at cracking the field in the most prestigious pavement short track race in the world.
