Casey Roderick Eager for Return to Gresham
125 Lapper Set for Saturday, July 12th
The last taste that Casey Roderick had at Gresham Motorsports Park (GA) came in 2010 at the World Crown 300 when he qualified in the top-10 while seeking the state's biggest short track win.  However, the day was cut short when Roderick was caught up in a huge multi-car wreck that sidelined half the field.

From there Roderick went up the NASCAR ladder to run select NASCAR Nationwide Series events before returning to the short tracks in 2014 with the Southern Super Series presented by Sunoco.

This week, Roderick will return to Gresham Motorsports Park for the first time since the 2010 World Crown 300 and he’s eager to make his return to the famous Georgia track.

"There are going to be lots of friends, family and familiar faces at Gresham this weekend," said Roderick.  "You know it's always good to come home and get that atmosphere around you."

Roderick has already tasted victory this season in the Rattler 250 at South Alabama Speedway to start the Southern Super Series season.  Despite the win Roderick will tell you there is room for improvement.

"We didn't have the best car by any means," said Roderick.  "We survived that race and were there at the end.  Winning was a big step for us, but we know there is more work to do."

Roderick is one of the many top teams that call the Peach State of Georgia home.  Point leader Bubba Pollard, defending series champion Daniel Hemric, and Anderson Bowen all have their cars housed in Georgia.

"We need to get out car going like everyone one else," said Roderick.  "All the top guys in the series work on their own stuff so it's no surprise they run well having the laps around the tracks like they do.  I have run these places and I work on my own stuff, but it takes time and effort to be as good as they are."

The Southern Super Series will return to action on Saturday, July 12 at Jefferson, Georgia's Gresham Motorsports Park. Entry forms and fan information for this event can be found on the track's website, www.racegmp.com.
