Five Engine Builders Partner with SSS to Present $500 Pole Award
Hamner, McGunegill, Progressive, Ford and RW Racing Engines Presenting Pole Award
For the second consecutive season the Southern Super Series is pleased to announce a Pole Award funded by a select group of engine builders. The Pole Award will mean an additional $500 to the team that achieves the pole position for each event.
Technical Director, Ricky Brooks was instrumental in putting this package together. He stated, “We know the effort it takes to tune and build an engine capable of gaining a pole position in this competitive series and feel that it should be rewarded. I would like to applaud the engine companies for recognizing the teams and supporting this award.”
To date the Pole Awards have been awarded as follows:
Casey Smith – Rattler 250
Augie Grill – Nashville Southern Super Series 125
Bubba Pollard - Mountain Dew KickStart 125
John Hunter Nemechek – Mobile Lumber 125
