Rattler 250 to Open 2015 Southern Super Series Schedule
Finishing Touches Being Applied to Complete 2015 SSS Event Calendar
For the second-straight season, one of the premier early-season short track events, the Rattler 250 at South Alabama Speedway, will open the Southern Super Series presented by Sunoco season.

The Southern Super Series will kick off its third season of Super Late Model competition March 13-15, 2015 at the 39th Rattler 250 weekend.  The entire 2015 Southern Super Series schedule is nearing completion and will be released in the coming days.

"We are excited to start our season at one of the premier Super Late Model events in the country," said Southern Super Series spokesperson Tim Bryant, the promoter of SSS staple tracks Five Flags Speedway in Pensacola, Florida and Alabama's Mobile International Speedway.  "John Dykes and his staff at South Alabama welcomed the Southern Super Series into their historic event last year and it was a great race full of a lot of hard racing and had a first-time series winner, Casey Roderick.  I'd expect even more excitement during this year's Rattler as a fitting kickoff to another great season of Southern Super Series action."

Southern Super Series officials are finalizing agreements with existing Southern Super Series tracks that have been a part of the tour since its inception in 2013 as well as with new tracks that may potentially be added to the series' 2015 slate.

In addition to filling out its upcoming season schedule, SSS officials are respecting the growth of Southeastern Super Late Model racing by working with tracks and other series to ensure that racers have as many opportunities to race as possible.

"We believe, and have been told by racers, that the Southern Super Series offers the 'best of the best' in terms of on-track competition," added Bryant.  "At the same time, we want to give racers the best place to race just like other Super Late Model tours in the region.  That's why I think it's important that the Southern Super Series works with other series, and vice versa, to give racers a good balance of racing opportunities throughout the Southeast."
