$10,000 Point Fund Returns To Southern Super Series In 2015
SSS And Sunoco Team Up To Offer Big Money
Since its inception in 2013, the Southern Super Series presented by Sunoco has promised big money to its competitors and for the third straight season it will once again deliver on that promise.

“For the third consecutive year we are proud that the Southern Super Series, with the help of some of our marketing partners, are able to pay a point fund at the end of the season which will award the champion $10,000,” said Southern Super Series promoter Tim Bryant.

The series has seen two different drivers pocket the $10,000 championship payout in each of its first two seasons.  Daniel Hemric and Bubba Pollard have put on fantastic battles in each season so far with Hemric winning the championship over Pollard by one point in 2013 and Pollard edging out the 2014 championship by seven points over Hemric.  The third Southern Super Series season is sure to present the same amount of thrills and excitement.

Hemric, the 2013 Southern Super Series presented by Sunoco champion, looks at the $10,000 championship payout as a great incentive for drivers and team, not just because of the monetary factor but also because it gives teams something extra to shoot for throughout the season.

“It gives everybody including the whole team something to get excited about,” said Hemric.  “The nights and weeks start to drag on the further you get into the season and that gives you an ultimate goal to shoot for.  We’re all racers week after week trying to complete the ultimate goal of winning the race that given weekend, but having the $10,000 to chase gives you something to shoot for throughout the season.”

The 2015 Southern Super Series season will commence on Sunday, March 15 with The Rattler 250 at South Alabama Speedway and will conclude at Five Flags Speedway (FL) on September 26.
