PFC Brakes to Present June 6 SSS Event at Crisp Motorsports Park
Southern Super Series Preparing for Inaugural Visit to Cordele, Georgia
PFC Brakes, an industry leader in high-performance brake calipers, rotors and pads for a variety of racing disciplines, has partnered with the Southern Super Series presented by Sunoco and Crisp Motorsports Park, the home of Watermelon Capital Speedway, to present the June 6 event at the Cordele, Georgia facility.

The Lyle Farms 100 presented by PFC Brakes will mark not only the first appearance for the Southern Super Series Super Late Models at Crisp Motorsports Park, but also will be a pivotal race in the hunt for the 2015 series championship thanks to the door-to-door action the 3/8-mile D-shaped oval provides.

"That track is really hard to get around, so it's going to put on an awesome Southern Super Series show," said Chris Dilbeck, NASCAR Technical Sales representative for PFC Brakes.  "The racing there is second-to-none.  Plus, there are always some big names that show up to the Super Late Model races there, so the competition will be unbelievable on June 6.

"We are proud to be able to support the Southern Super Series and my home track, Crisp Motorsports Park, by partnering for this race."

In addition to providing parts and technical service to NASCAR and short track customers at PFC, Dilbeck is a past winner and track champion driver at Watermelon Capital Speedway.  He is one of many racers-at-heart involved in the operations at PFC Brakes, which is why the Clover, South Carolina-based company supports short track racing and its competitors through events such as this.

"There are thousands of racers all around the country that use PFC in some way, shape or form on their racecars," added Dilbeck.  "To be able to give back to the racers and support them in their races, especially the Southern Super Series with the reach that it gets, is huge for PFC."

The buzz surrounding the June 6 event in Cordele, Georgia is rapidly ramping up.

"I'm getting more and more calls every day from the Super Late Model teams," said Eddie MacDonald, Crisp Motorsports Park General Manager.  "There's a lot of them calling looking for information on the track, hotel reservations and more, so that's a great sign.  There's a lot of excitement surrounding this event and we can't wait to have the Southern Super Series here for the first time.

"We're extremely proud to have PFC come on with us. I and Wayne Lyle, the track owner, are thrilled that PFC came on board with us and we really appreciate the support that they're giving the event on June 6."

The Lyle Farms 100 presented by PFC Brakes will feature a 100-lap Southern Super Series event, plus Crisp Motorsports Park Truck, Super Street and Enduro events.  Additional information on the June 6 event will be announced soon.

The event will be the seventh in a 13-race schedule for the Southern Super Series presented by Sunoco.  Texan Casey Smith will lead the SSS into Cordele, Georgia on June 6 with a 36-point lead over Oklahoma's Donnie Wilson.  Daniel Hemric, Casey Roderick and Garrett Jones are third through fifth in series points entering the Lyle Farms 100 presented by PFC Brakes.
